Thesis title: Work with actors simultaneously, both on camera and theatre. 

From the age of 18 he spent 4 years at the Hungarian National Theatre in Budapest as a prop man. He graduated from the Academy as a film director and theatre dramaturge in 1987. - He has made also several TV programs for children (mainly fiction, but also documentaries). 

Janos directed more than 30 theatre shows across Europe, United States and Hungary. Directed numerous feature films. 

Janos Spent many years in faculty, and also served as a head in THE INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED THEATRE TRAINING AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY, Cambridge, MASS. He was appointed by senator John Kerry. Came back from US to Europe - cause of family reasons - in 2008. He served 22 yrs. in the ACADEMY OF THEATRE AND FILM ARTS faculty. He left – for political reasons – the ACADEMY OF THEATRE AND FILM ARTS in 2021. 

Janos has three Children Jakob 8yrs, Peter 16yrs, Hanna 28yrs. His wife Gyongyver Bognar is an actress.
